MAISON RENE PECNER & FILS relied on CECIA to design and build its new sugar processing factory in Cognac (Charente).

The challenge in the project

MAISON RENE PECNER & FILS, a family business with a history going back over a hundred years in processing sugar into syrups, toffees and colouring agents, entrusted the teams at CECIA with the construction of a brand new factory and the reorganisation of its existing premises in order to respond to a growth in its business.

Our response

The design teams at CECIA worked with the client on the design phase in order to monitor closely the work being done. The project focused on the construction of a 1000m² production uniit including an area given over to packaging and a reception area for the raw materials. The offices at the firm’s historic site were reorganised (200 m²), along with the service areas and the aroma storage space.
